Application deadline extended to December 21.
Thanks to a continuing partnership between Mid-America Arts Alliance and Arts Center of the Ozarks, applications for Spring 2018 Artist INC Springdale will open November 1st, 2017.
First launched in Kansas City, Artist INC is a cutting edge training seminar that addresses the specific business needs and challenges artists of all disciplines face every day. Limited to 25 participants per session, artists gather for one night a week for eight weeks to learn business skills specific to their art practice and apply those skills cooperatively with their peers.
NOT YOUR TYPICAL BUSINESS CLASS.
Using an innovative class design, artists learn and grow together through artist facilitator mentoring, small group application activities, as well as large group discussion and multi-media lectures. Now in its eighth year, the Artist INC workshop has been completed by more than 700 regional artists. 2018 marks the second year of Artist INC-Springdale.
Artist INC seminars provide a host of benefits to artists of all disciplines through mentorship opportunities, expert presentations, and peer networks to develop their entrepreneurial skill and strengthen their artistic practice.
- Skills in arts planning, marketing, finance, law, and technology;
- Increased knowledge and the ability to access local and national art business resources;
- Strategic planning for pursuing, marketing and sustaining their art; and a
- Long-term network of cross-discipline, diverse artists to provide peer learning and support into the future.
